In the spring of 2023, Xcite Automotive surveyed dealers in regards to their vehicle wholesale efforts. 31 dealers responded to the survey. The following is a summary of key data points found in the survey:
Dealers are clearly less than enthusiastic about their vehicle wholesale process. In fact, in a recent survey of dealers by Xcite Automotive, 32% of dealers rated their current vehicle wholesale process as 3 or lower on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the highest).
In the 2023 Vehicle wholesale survey conducted by Xcite Automotive, dealers reported the following regarding their wholesale volumes:

| 100+ vehicles | 6.45% |
| 1-10 vehicles | 48.39% |
In the 2023 Vehicle wholesale survey conducted by Xcite Automotive, 72% of dealers reported that they have a formal process in place regarding the age of their vehicles.
In the 2023 Vehicle wholesale survey conducted by Xcite Automotive, 42% of dealers reported that they start listing vehicles for wholesale at 60 days. 32% of dealers reported that they start the wholesale process at 90 days.
In the 2023 Vehicle wholesale survey conducted by Xcite Automotive, 87% of dealers reported that they are most interested in acquiring vehicles in the $18k to $40k range. Below is the specific data of all ranges surveyed:
